What is it?
Sign up on your own, get put randomly in a band, and over three weeks you'll write two original songs together. Then everyone performs, all in one night.
No experience needed, no pressure, no cost. Just a fun excuse to make music with different people. Come as you are.

I've never been in a band. Can I join? +
Yes, that's the whole point. No experience needed, all ages, and total beginners are very welcome.
How do bands get picked? +
At random, on the first night (Friday 31 July at Roots). You'll meet your band there and then.
Where do we practice? +
Roots is open as a practice space for Band Camp bands all through the writing weeks. You can also practice anywhere that suits your band.
Does it cost anything? +
No. It's free to join, and everyone gets a participation gift.
What do we have to write? +
Two original songs with your band, any style you like. You'll play them both at the group show on Wednesday 2 September.
